Blackburn College Eagle Scout/Gold Award Scholarship

Awarding Agency: Blackburn College, Carlinville, Ill.
Description and Requirements: Recipients of the Boy Scout Eagle Scout Award and the Girl Scout Gold Award are eligible for an award of up to $5,000 (up to $2,500 per semester), upon admission to Blackburn College. The applicant should indicate on his/her application that he/she is an Eagle Scout/Gold Recipient and provide a copy of their certificate to his/her admissions counselor for receipt of award. Applicants must complete the financial aid process, including filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The award is renewable for students that remain in good academic and work standing at Blackburn College, but cannot be combined with other forms of institutional aid. There is no limit on the number of Eagle Scout/Gold Award scholarships that Blackburn College will consider each year.

Awarding Agency: College of St. Joseph, Rutland, Vt.
Description and Requirements: Students who have earned the Eagle Scout Award are eligible for this scholarship, which is renewable for four years if the recipient maintains a 3.0 grade point average, remains a full-time student, and is a good campus citizen. Columbia College Leadership Award

Awarding Agency: Columbia College, Columbia, Mo.
Description and Requirements: The Leadership Award targets new freshmen at Columbia College who have demonstrated leadership in high school and/or community activities. Although it isn't limited to Eagle Scouts, they do receive strong consideration. Dofflemyer Scholarship

Awarding Agency: Stanford University, Stanford, Calif.
Description and Requirements: Stanford University awards scholarships based on a family's demonstrated need, not on merit. Students initially receive financial aid from a general scholarship fund. However, funding is sometimes drawn from named funds like the Dofflemyer Scholarship, which gives preference to Eagle Scouts. Therefore, applicants who are Eagle Scouts need only follow the university's standard application process to demonstrate eligibility.

Description and Requirements: This need-based scholarship covers up to half of tuition. Description and Requirements: Must have attained the Eagle Scout rank upon the time of admission and submit a copy of the award certificate or letter from a council leader. Awarding Agency: Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas
Description and Requirements: Eagle Scouts who are still active in Scouting may attend the Aggie Eagle weekend, held twice a year at Texas A&M.
